Everest and Eastern Nepal

A few miles south of the Tibetan from tier on the east side of the juggled banks of the Bhote Koshi, is an enormous rock precipice. Rolwaling is the source of the Rolwaling valley. Rolwaling valley is one of the most remote and beautiful areas in all Nepal.
To Simigaon
The only easy way to enter the Rolwaling is from the west, through the village of Simigaaon. Simigaon is the beautiful village populated mostly by Sherpas and Tamangs with a smattering of Brahmins, Thukuris, Gurungs and Kamis.
Simigaon to Sambur Danda
Above Simigaon, the trail climbs steeply up the Sambur Danda to a pass at the foot of the Mahalangur Himal, a rocky mass of peaks south of the Rolwaling. From this pass is an astonishing view of Gauri Shankar Himal.
